I drove south today to cover the release of the Nike Zoom Lebron VI Chalk Edition and also to try my luck in getting two pairs. One for myself and one for my eldest son. To my dismay, not even 1 pair made it to the store even though the staff was aware of the release. I was tempted to get myself the Triple Blacks instead to double as rain boots but I passed on them since I'm pretty sure I'll see them at the outlets in several months.

I was upset I only slept for 3 hours, drove all the way to The Fort and waited for the store to open for nothing. What a waste of gas and time. This day reminded me of the Chamber of Fear release from several years ago. SMH.

On my way home, I stopped by an outlet store and found myself a Gestalt purchase. The only pair I paid for this year.

Photos for your enjoyment.

CHRISTMAS AT THE MUNSAYACS

3

| Posted in | Posted on Friday, December 26, 2008

First time celebrating the holidays at my parents' house in over a decade. I woke up at 8am as I didn't want to miss any of the guests. Too bad the ones I expected the most never showed up. Oh well...

Welcome. It may not look much from the outside...

But this is where true Christmas tradition lives on. Every year, my dad carves the ham and queso de bola.

No Christmas lights on a plastic tree = no fire hazard. I remember when I was a kid my brother and I would help my dad put up the Christmas tree.

Gifts galore

Christmas eve. Rushed to the house for a quick lunch (9pm). My coworkers and I missed noche buena and misa de gallo. Working during the holidays FTL! We had soup, ham and bread. Yum.

Guilt-free money envelopes for my nephews and nieces

Christmas day featuring one of my mom's maids holding the soda bottles

My mom prepared a feast! This one is for ABC.

My mom's stuffed turkey was hella good

FILIPINO! FILIPINO! FILIPINO!

I was lucky not to work on Christmas day but my coworkers were not so fortunate so I asked them to have lunch at the house. Quickstrike meals FTW!

Unclaimed gifts

* SIGH *

The following morning. My brother and his kids. This sight brought tears to my eyes. Don't ask why. Long story.

HOW DO YOU

Say Merry Christmas without the "merry?" Happy Holidays minus "happy?"

You can't huh?

I've been thinking of a different greeting for this year and all I could come up with was...

BAH! HUMBUG!

Have a good one people

Drink one for me

I bought myself an inexpensive 2.1 speaker system for Christmas.

It's no Harman Kardon but it's better than my built-in speakers.

I'll be playing loud Christmas music on my AOL Radio tomorrow.

Maybe that will drown my sorrows.

I GOT MCGANGBANGED

And I loved it!

McGangBang = McChicken sandwich x double cheeseburger

I learned about this secret McDonald's item on niketalk.com and ordered it earlier. Check every page for photos and videos of people who've ordered this treat.

The dude at the drive thru didn't get what I wanted even after I explained what it was so he asked me to proceed to the window. Good thing the manager was cool with it. He presented my sammich in a half open Big Mac box since it wouldn't fit.

All I can say is that you should try ordering it.

The whole experience from explaining what it is to finishing the McGangbang is truly an awesome trip.

Just don't forget to pop some Lipitor in your mouth the next day.

Shout out to the crew of McDonald's Quezon Avenue for being a good sport. Thanks again!

:D

I can't believe I missed a day of entry. For those who haven't noticed it yet I update this site daily, hence the title. I'll make up for it by posting twice tomorrow.

I did some last minute Christmas shopping today for the kids, my parents and the bosses. My day started out by dropping by the Ms. Clavel HQ to meet up with the fam and to pick up my ATM card. After that I headed to Greenhills and stayed there for four hours. I was surprised at the few number of people shopping. I guess the magic of Greenhills has faded into Bolivia. Word to Mike Tyson. Gone are the days when you go to Greenhills to get good deals on just about anything. Now you're better off shopping at the malls since the prices in the tiangge are ridiculously high and haggling will only save you this much.

I only go to Greenhills for the old school toy stores, bootleg video games and electronic gadgets.

OG Viramall > V-Mall

Yes, rape prices

Like what I said yesterday. Now available in stores.

I headed to Trinoma around dinner time to finish my last minute Christmas shopping. Ended the night with some beer, pizza and people watching with a tattooed buddy I bumped into at Greenhills.

Who me? Selfish?

Time to wrap these babies.

Oh, and THE CHEQUE cleared. Woo hoo!.
