Mark flew in from Davao and was craving for Ristras.

You probably are sick of seeing me blog about this joint.

I don't care.

Good food never gets old no matter how many times I have it a week.

I left my camera in the car but the crew insisted that I snapped their photo.

Thus, this entry.

Say queso!

The other half I brought home

Sugarcane juice. Too thick IMO. I'm used to the cheap kind. Ha ha. Still good though.

Happy camper

Our friends from Iglesia ni Cristo celebrated their 95th anniversary today and they had a huge gathering at Araneta Coliseum and Rizal Stadium. Thank God (not theirs) they didn't congregate at Central. Last time they did (75th anniversary), traffic stood still the whole day along Commonwealth Ave. I didn't even get to go to school. The bus had to turn around and bring us home after getting stuck in heavy traffic for four hours.

Some of you are probably waiting for me to bust out some Iglesia ni Cristo jokes. Sorry to disappoint you folks. I have some good friends who are Iglesias and I don't want to offend them.

One question though. What is up with the flag?

I can just imagine how crazy it will be when they celebrate their centennial five years from now.

And he wanted to go rim shopping.

On a Sunday.

In my city.

So I acted as tour guide and showed him around West Ave.

For 1 hour.

Ha ha.

Nice ride dude! Definitely a steal.

Hello Angelo

Walter showing Angelo his final price quote

Went to nearby Mister Kabab after for some cheap good grub.

I started picking on this plate only to find out that it was Angelo's.

My order. Flafel sammich. Yummm.

What did we talk about?

The sisters. Ben Baller. Poleng. Pampanga. LA. SF. Number coding. Fake IDs. Koreans. Ronnie. Sock on the door knob. Three. Some. Fully Booked. Essensa. Serendra. Baja. Ristras. Obama. Tax. iPhone charger. And more Koreans.

I finally got my last pay cheque from my previous work after two and a half months of waiting. It's not even half of what I expected but it will do. I'm just glad I got something because I didn't serve the 30 day notice of resignation.

This will pay for 2 out of my 14 days in SF.

I can't wait!

After all the BS we had to go through in making this issue, I couldn't say no to Armel when he asked if we could go to Grappa's for some beer.

Food to go

Cafe Bola adobo flakes with goat cheese sammich. Yum.

I really need to stop drinking.

For months, people have been raving on facebook about a burger joint in Kapitolyo, Pasig.

Charlie's this, Charlie's that. Best Angus burger in town. Best pulled porked sandwich. Yadi yadi yada.

I didn't care to try it until I found out that one of the people behind it was Rob Goco, the same executive chef behind the kitchens of Cyma and Ristras.

Will it be a perfect trifecta?

Scroll down to find out.

Car wash x burger joint = clever idea

The kitchen

Named after Charles Nagreen

The menu

Multiple blurs

Stick it in

Lights lights baby

Philly cheesesteak (starving size). It ain't no Bob's Hoagy Steaks (my fav in NorCal) and the meat was kinda bland but I loved how the bread, cheese, bell peppers and other ingredients tasted good altogether.

What my son ordered. Panko crusted portobello mushroom burger. I didn't try it but according to him, it was the bomb yooo.

I'll most definitely swing by this place again. I can't give a final verdict until I try the most popular items on their menu. For now, I'm convinced that Chef Rob Goco knows his stuff (no d-riding).

I wonder what he'll come up with next?

Maybe a sports bar?

Hey Lebron!

I stopped being a Kobe hater for one day to WITNESS one of the greatest NBA players (happy CJM?) visit Manila.

It was such a hot day that I didn't even wait for Kobe at The Fort. I snapped some photos of the venue and left for PhilSports arena where he was scheduled to conduct a basketball clinic at 4pm.

I'm sure true Kobe fans will enjoy the photos and videos below.

Kobe's convoy? Prolly Ambassador Kristie Kenny's.

How was it?

I expected more. How are you gonna visit a country of 5'4" men and not dunk? Filipinos love that shit. Ha ha. I expected him to put on a show and he didn't. Seriously though. 1 hour? Keith Martin's SM Marilao show lasted longer. It was probably the long flight. Maybe the heat got to him?

I still remember his first visit (Adidas days? Please correct me if I'm wrong) when he had a fro and schooled some PBA players at the atrium of SM Megamall. That was the Kobe I wanted to see. I heard the Supernatural Tour in 2007 was also waaaaaaaay better.

It's all good though. Thanks to our friends from Nike my son and I got to spend some quality time together. We got to see one of the best NBA players in person! How cool is that?

Now that the Kobe fever is over...

Can I say Cavs 82-0?

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Shout out to all the people who lit up my BlackBerry. Sorry I didn't get to go around and say hi. It was so hot I didn't even want to move. What up to the familiar faces I saw and also to the new ones who introduced themselves.

Now wasn't that fun?
